We pressed a thin line of rose into the pistachio praline, right at the edge, where a careful reader would find it. The dark shell is the printed text — exact, composed. The centre is the handwriting: green, soft, a little flustered. Finish: nut, petal and the sweet shock of being noticed. For slow burns conducted in pencil.
